Marvel‘s Avengers: Infinity War has been on a record breaking run at the worldwide box office ever since it released on April 27. It has broken nearly every record possible in America, India and the worldwide market. However, the Marvel superhero movie has not yet released in China, a territory which is hungry for superhero content. But the Chinese audience’s wait is over as Avengers: Infinity War releases in the country today. And looks like the film has already created a massive record in China!
The advance bookings and pre release sales for Avengers: Infinity War in China have been phenomenal. In fact, after raking in $47.50 million, the third installment of Avengers has beaten the pre release sales of The Fate of the Furious ($47 million) and become the film with the highest advance booking collections in China.
In fact, the movie has also created a new record for a Hollywood film in India – in 13 days (April 27 to May 9) it clocked a total nett box office collection of ₹200.39 Cr (gross = ₹256.91 Cr). This is historic indeed!
